We're your friendly neighbourhood photography store, conveniently situated a minute away down Cyber Street.
In the bricks 'n' mortar world, we're in picturesque Guernsey, an island that enjoys the benefit of milder weather than most of the UK, and a VAT-free situation which we kindly pass on to you where we can.
We've been supplying photographic goods since the last century - 1998 offline, and 2000 over the web. Our passion has always been to find the best products and sell them to you at the best prices. We love to thwart the competition and undermine those who want to 'rip off Britain'.
FAQ
How do we keep our prices so low? By sourcing from the cheapest suppliers and keeping our margins low. This does mean that we have to maintain low costs, so we don't work out of fancy offices or spend our time drinking coffee in meetings. We work hard and fast and go home satisfied.
It also means that we don't always stock the product exactly as you see it elsewhere. Sometimes it comes with less packaging, sometimes it comes via the US. Whichever, we don't stock it if we feel it doesn't offer you an advantage over whatever else is out there. Where products are US-sourced we offer our own warranty. Otherwise full UK warranty applies.
Why don't we offer PayPal? We're not against the idea of an easier payment system than handing over card details, but payment providers who take a hefty chunk in commission don't mix with low prices (see above about 'margins'). Every layer of complexity that gets added into a service means more cost to us, and that would mean higher prices for you. Do you really want that? No!
Why do we take longer to deliver? Sometimes we don't! Being on an island does occasionally mean we get isolated by a freak weather situation. Luckily that's unusual. However, we often find that our deliveries take a day longer than those being sent from the mainland. We know that most of our customers are more than happy to wait a day or so longer when we're saving them so much money.
Why don't we sell more / fewer things? We try to offer what we think you'd like. We're always happy to consider stocking a product you've seen elsewhere,
especially when we can beat the price. Why not

Why don't we have a phone ordering system? We did used to but as the business grew it became harder to offer the best service this way. We prefer to rely on our website to give you all the details, rather than comparing merits of one product against another on the phone. Compare us to your local supermarket: the guys on the tills probably can't help you with the technical stuff - for that you'd need a speciality store - but you'll be in and out quickly and cheaply.
Why can't I phone someone to ask about my order? Again, we found it easiest to ask you to
submit a ticket on our website rather than phone in. You'll still be dealt with by a Real Person, but rather than getting caught up in a phone system, your enquiry goes through to the person best qualified to help. This way we can get back to you with a response that you can receive any time, rather than having to call back later if we're busy. Or us having to call you back later if your enquiry is tricky.
