Cleaning
cartridges for Epson printers
It is advisable to use our cleaning cartridges when the print quality obtained
from your printer deteriorates, even when a new cartridge is installed. Our
cleaning cartridges contain a special fluid which will clear any blocked
nozzles that your printer may have developed, causing printing problems.
You need to remove the ink cartridge(s) from the printer prior to replacing
them with our cleaning cartridges. You will find that they look almost identical,
so please dont get them muddled up. You should not re-use inkjet cartridges
once they have been removed from the printer as the ink can dry once open
to the air - therefore it is advisable to discard them and replace with new
ones once the cleaning process is complete.
Installing the cleaning cartridges is the same procedure as replacing the
normal ink cartridges (don't forget to remove the yellow tab upon insertion).
Once you have installed the cleaners, then run your printer's cleaning cycle
5 times at 3 minute intervals. If you are not sure where to locate the cleaning
cycle software, then please consult your printers manual (or ask a knowledgeable
friend!). We also advise printing a couple photos at full size on plain A4
paper, just to run the fluid through completely.
Once you have completed the cleaning cycle, you need to install new cartridges
for printing (can we at this point recommend to you that our own brand compatible
inks are really good..!)
You will find that the 'real' ink may take a page or two to come through
the printing head - this is normal, therefore we recommend that you print
a couple of photos to full size A4 plain paper to get the ink flowing.
That's it - a simple procedure which will improve the quality of your printing
for very little cost.
NOTE...if you have a multi-cartridge printer, you can use
cleaners along with the normal cartridges if you are sure of the affected
colour(s). |

cartridges for Epson/Canon printers
We have taken great care in selecting a high quality and reliable cartridge
as our own brand. Many printing problems are not caused by the cartridge,
but often simple things that are easy to remedy.
Installation of our cartridges is exactly the same as installing the originals
(just a little lighter on the pocket!). If you are not sure how to change
your ink, please consult your printers manual (or a knowledgeable friend).
Please ensure that you fit the correct cartridge in to the correct slot.
Make sure you remove the yellow label (it says 'pull' on it) before inserting
cartridge. If you fail to do this then the ink will not flow through to
the printing head, and you get a blank printout. It can also damage the
printer.
You can safely mix our compatibles with other brands and indeed the originals
if they have not fully run out, although we recommend that you try and
stick with one brand (ours!).
If you are not satisfied with the printing after changing the ink, then
you should run the head cleaning cycle. (see manual if not sure).
When printing, please ensure you select the correct settings in the driver
software, as adverse effects can result if the wrong settings are selected.
We are confident that if these instructions are followed, you will have
trouble free (and very cost effective) printing.

Please ensure that you fit the correct cartridge in to the correct slot.
Make sure you remove any protecting tabs before inserting
cartridge.
You can safely mix our compatibles with other brands and indeed the originals
if they have not fully run out, although we recommend that you try and stick
with one brand (ours!).
If you are not satisfied with the printing after changing the ink, then you
should run the head cleaning cycle. (see manual if not sure).
When printing, please ensure you select the correct settings in the driver

Sometimes it may be necessary to carefully clean the electrical contacts on
the cartridge as they can become tarnished in storage.
If a new cartridge appears to have blocked
nozzles after cleaning, then you can try the following. Remove the cartridge
and gently flick it towards the floor as if you were bouncing a 'yoyo'. (Please
do this outdoors as the ink may suddenly flow!). You can also take a piece
of dampened kitchen roll, and rest the cartridge upright on it to encourage
the ink to flow.
These problems are not common, but occur in original HP and Lexmark inks. Please
do not think that these issues only occur with our own brand inks.
