As long as there’s snake, people will be happy Nokia mobile phones are coming back from the dead.

The news was confirmed by the Finnish firm’s chief executive, Rajeev Suri, at the Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona, reported the cnet technology news site.

Nokia was THE mobile phone maker for many back in the 1990s and 2000s – with their phones proving a massive hit, although the company failed to keep up with the smartphone revolution.

The company eventually sold its mobile phone division to Microsoft for billions of pounds in 2014.

The plan is for Nokia to design the new devices with a partner then building the mobile phones themselves, although there’s no date for when new Nokia phones will hit the market.
